Pet Policy
The Blue Heron Inn welcomes the well-behaved dogs and cats of our guests. However, unless you are traveling with a service animal, the Carriage House Room is our only pet friendly room. To ensure that your stay is a pleasant one of all concerned, we ask that you agree to and comply with the following conditions.
1. That there will be no more than two dogs, or two cats, or one cat and one dog in the guest room.
2. That my cat(s) or dog(s) is housebroken and at least six months old.
2. That I will provide proof of current vaccinations upon check-in.
3. That my pet(s) is wearing a name tag with identification and a current rabies tag.
4. That my pet(s) is well-behaved and will not disturb other guests. If my pet(s) barks or meows excessively, or bites a guest or staff I understand that I will be asked to leave.
5. That is I leave my pet(s) in the guest room, they will be retrained in a crate. (Should you need a pet sitter, please ask).
6. That I will always have my pet(s) on a leash when outside my guest room and on the premises of the Inn.
7. That I will be responsible for any and all damage caused to the Inn’s premises, including but not limited to stains and/or odors, damage to furnishings by chewing or scratching, etc.
8. That I will clean up after my pet(s) using my own towels/linens (and not the Inn’s) to do this.
9. That I will never allow my pet(s) to use the bedding for any reason and to never allow my pet(s) to sleep on or in the bed or on the furniture.
10. That my guest room will be checked prior to my departure. If I leave before a room check and there is damage to the room, the Inn will be authorized to charge any and all related damage expenses to my credit card.
Our guests are asked to sign our pet policy indemnifying that the Blue Heron Inn is not responsible for any injury or damage their pets may cause to the other guests or the inn property.
The Blue Heron Inn reserves the right to refuse occupancy to guests and their pets at any time with cause.
