Chef Tyler Smith Bio
Tyler, an Idaho Falls native, started in the cooking industry at the age of fifteen. Beginning in fast food just to make some money for a car, he came to embrace the kitchen and developed a powerful passion for cooking. He went to college, majoring in political science and ice hockey, but Tyler was always drawn back to cooking and never had a job that wasn't in a kitchen of some form. Abandoning his bleak future in politics, Tyler worked his way up through restaurants and the prestigious New England Culinary Institute, cooking his way from the east coast to the west, then back home to Idaho.

He has worked in New York, Vail, Boston, and San Francisco, cooking with renowned restaurant chefs at award-winning restaurants, and has worked with more than one chef that you may have seen on the Food Network or other shows.
